On and around Mozart’s birthday, Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg invites music lovers to wintry Salzburg. Join this musical celebration and experience classical music taken to a whole new level during this, the world’s leading Mozart festival!
In 2024, the programme will focus on Antonio Salieri. Peter Shaffer’s play Amadeus will be premiered at the Landestheater, the Marionette Theatre will feature a new production of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera Mozart and Salieri and Miloš Forman’s Oscar-winning film adaptation Amadeus is also on the programme.
This programme focus is complemented by a semi-staged opera performance of La clemenza di Tito, orchestral concerts, chamber music, films, guided tours, talks and much more.
