Adelaide Festival, the McLaren Vale region and the Kangaroo Island

1 March - 6 March

Art and Culture between the hills and the sea

March 1-6, 2024

An outstanding mix of local, national, and internationally acclaimed theatre productions, an eclectic array of world-class musicians, breathtaking dance pieces, renowned writers and striking visual arts displays all descend on Adelaide for the annual event.

Returning to the Festival for the first time since 2018, the internationally acclaimed Canadian auteur brings his brilliant imagination and a lush aesthetic to Igor Stravinsky’s The Nightingale and Other Fables.

McLaren Vale is home to some of the oldest vines in the country, dating as far back as 1850. Explore a surrealist exhibition and sale featuring 25 authentic Salvador Dali bronze sculptures and graphic artworks, at the d’Arenberg Cube.

Finish this adventure visiting the Kangaroo Island, 13km (8mi) off the coast of South Australia, is one of the best places in Australia to see wild animals like koalas, kangaroos, sea lions and seals. Throw in jaw-dropping geology and a hyper-local food and beverage scene, and Kangaroo Island is a destination that will leave you inspired.
